YES Update - 50 Years of Yes in 2018

The year 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of Yes, a magnificent achievement that comes hard on the heels of the band's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Back at the beginning in 1968, it's a longevity that could never have been contemplated by co-founders Jon Anderson & Chris Squire but Yes has indeed beaten the odds to crown an extraordinary musical legacy.

The celebrations will include tours by two different lineups of Yes, namely Yes (Steve Howe, Alan White, Billy Sherwood, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison & Jay Schellen) and Yes Featuring ARW (Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin & Rick Wakeman, backed by Lee Pomeroy & Lou Molino II). Realistically, this division of talent means that neither band is quite comparable to the greatest Yes lineups of the past. Yet there will still be plenty for Yes fans to enjoy, especially with the continuing fine performances of Steve Howe & Jon Anderson who were both at the creative core of so much classic Yes music. It goes almost without saying that Chris Squire (who passed away in 2015) will continue to be missed.

Yes closed 2017 with the release of "Topographic Drama", a well-produced live double CD drawn from their American tour last year and most notably containing an enthusiastic live performance of the entire "Drama" album. A live DVD from Yes Featuring ARW filmed in 2017 is slated for release during 2018. Additionally, new studio albums from both Yes camps are slated as possibilities for 2018.
