2004/2005 Flashback to YES on stage in 2004 at Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville, Connecticut, USA during the 35th Anniversary tour. YES took a break from touring in 2005 but during the year there was a new live DVD "Songs From Tsongas", a new live 3CD set "The Word Is Live" and various solo activities by the members of the band. Recent interviews suggest that a new YES album might be recorded in 2006 or 2007.
2004/2005 The YES "Songs From Tsongas" live DVD was released in mid 2005 and reached No.1 in the UK charts. Filmed in 2004, it is one of the best made live YES DVDs to date. Pictured is Tsongas Arena, Lowell, USA on 15 May 2004, the day the DVD was filmed.
2004/2005 Some eagle-eyed YES fans watching the "Songs From Tsongas" DVD have noticed "The Extraordinary World Of YES" author Alan Farley in the audience. July 2005 Pictured is Wardour Street, Soho in London, England as it looked in 2005. Back in 1968, the La Chasse bar where YES founders Jon Anderson and Chris Squire first met was located at 100 Wardour Street (the building in the middle with the four awnings over the footpath). The Marquee Club where YES played so many early gigs was in those days at 90 Wardour Street (the building with the large arched entry to the right of number 100).
July 2005 Pictured is 100 Wardour Street, Soho in 2005, occupied by the Mezzo Restaurant. In 1968 the La Chasse bar was located upstairs, now famous as the place where Jon Anderson was introduced to Chris Squire to set the career of YES in motion.
July 2005 A subtle reminder of the old Marquee Club at 90 Wardour Street, Soho can be found next door on a panel on the front of the Mezzo Restaurant. It lists the glittering array of talent that appeared at the Marquee over the years including YES (top row, third from left), Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, the Rolling Stones, Queen, Pink Floyd and The Who. The Marquee Club is now located in Leicester Square.
